Theology and Worldview in the Warrior Religion
The most popular poast on RESAVAGER is “Religious Considerations for Modern Day Paganism.” This was little surprising to me. I unlocked it for all to read. It does show up in BARBARIC VITALISM, so if you have read book you’ll be familiar with it. In the Warrior Religion project, I went over various Gods and religions, but ultimately I believe you cannot resurrect the old. Change is eternal. No religion has shown itself to be eternal, but if you can find the Golden Path of God as all these old faiths did, you can turn the wheel of mankind.
Do not get confused when I use the word religion. I believe in Oswald Spengler’s definition of religion as ACTION. It’s the culmination of your culture and how you choose to live your life. That is religion. I want to add onto, as well as, clarify what I said in the “Religious Considerations” essay. There IS a secret Warrior Religion project where this is being expounded on, but that is for another time.
What matters when talking about religion, worldview, and theology is that it matches up with the eternal, the divine. All the old faiths have their differences, but there are parts of these religions that rhyme, and those rhymes are the pieces to the puzzle. What you see when you examine the Aryan races is that they all look back to Ancient Greece and Rome as their point of origin. There is a spiritual residue that came out of those great societies that still permeates even today. Now, it is difficult for say an American to believe himself descended from Greks and Romans. I will say this: the myths we get from the Greks and Romans likely predate their own societies, so when they’re heard by related races, blood memories are activated. For example, there is theory that we all come from the ancient Scythians. That the Scythians seeded all the great societies in this world and they were older than even the Egyptians(who were also more related to the Aryans than any other people).
One example I believe in is that we are descended from Herakles himself. Herakles was seen as the progenitor of many peoples. You see, even in India, depictions of Herakles protecting The Buddha. The Scythians believed him to be their progenitor. Many Grek states saw him as their great ancestor. Herakles I believe is older than the Grek myths that brought him to prominence. He may have been a Neolithic hunter who became renowned for his great exploits, adventures, and monster slaying in the ancient world. Yes, we ARE descended from Herakles, you go to hell if you don’t believe this.
Herakles was the first ancestor and every ancient race held ancestor worship as VITAL to their religions. The ancestors did not travel far from their graves. They wandered around what was called the “land of the fathers.” To not give them the proper worship was to risk being haunted by them. Why did this happen? Ancestor worship can be put beside the concept of tradition. The ancestors passed on their lessons learned to their children who were expected to know those lessons by heart so that they may continue to survive. In the Warrior Religion project, I highlighted the importance of the FIGHT FOR SURVIVAL.
The fight for survival is the condition of all life. There is prey and predator. To increase your chances of survival, you strive to be the greatest predator. In both the Greks and Romans, you see this belief evolve into ideas like Arete, Aristeia, and VIRTUS. The devotion to excellence is an essential quality to the Warrior Religion. God doesn’t care about fairness or who was there first, he only cares about who wins.
Fire as the Primeval Essence
“This universe, which is the same for all, has not been made by any god or man, but it always has been, is, and will be, an ever-living fire, kindling itself by regular measures and going out by regular measures." -Heraclitus
There is something to be said about the VITAL FIRE burns through all the things. I spoke about it in book. We all know what Heraclitus thought about fire. That everything is and will always be an everliving fire. Did you know that the Scythians also believed that everything was created by fire? There are many ways that fire is of immense importance to mankind.
Start with how the discovery of fire by man. This discovery gave man dominance over all other species in nature. It was of such power that the Greks thought that their acquiring of fire was a crime against nature which Prometheus, as well as, man continued to pay the price for. Fire itself was the primary deity of the Scythians as related to us by Herodotus. The heart fire was also the most important aspect of the domestic religions of the Greks and Romans. The place where their most secret rites were carried out.
Skip the religious aspect of fire since that can turn off the modern. Think about the personal relationship the ancients had to fire. Imagine the son of the first man to discover fire and the many after them, who found themselves comforted, kept warm, by the fire their fathers had taught them to make. Long after their fathers had passed on, they were protected by his warmth. This is such a powerful idea that humbles me whenever I think about it. Teach your son to make fire!
