A big inspiration for what I write are the Great Works of Friedrich Nietzsche, but there isn’t a whole lot on RESAVAGER about Nietzsche, except for a few quotes here and there. There is one Warrior Religion essay entitled “Heralds of the Lightning,” and much older essay, “Something Darker to Consider,” where I contemplate the quote Nietzsche is hated for: “God is dead.” I haven’t really deep dived into his books and as I’m on a Nietzsche kick as of late, here below is my commentary on his book The Joyful Wisdom. It’s not as talked about as some of his other books like Thus Spoke Zarathustra or Beyond Good and Evil, but there are some important gems hidden in its pages I must share with you. There is a wide amount of subjects, Nietzsche covers in this one and it’s sort of a preview to his other books. Zarathustra makes an appearance and he even gives dating advice. Now, popular attacks against Nietzsche turn him into an incel, but his takes I believe are on the mark.
Nietzsche didn’t marry or have children. There’s something to be said that because of this fact, his thought shouldn’t hold the weight it does. This is a Christian argument against him: he did not become a father and so he could not know the Father. There is some truth to this, but it doesn’t take away from the importance of his writings which are one of the few links to the vitalism of our ancestors and which hold the way out of this hell we’ve been born into. If you’re a Christian with a bone to pick with Nietzsche, nothing I can say will change your mind, I just want you to remember this: Christianity will not save the west, the only hope the west has is with a type of vitalism as written by Nietzsche. If Christianity survives the coming storm, it will be because it’s disciples were smart enough to realize that GOD wanted them to put the RACE over the doctrines and that the true way of God is natural law. There is no escaping or returning to anything. You can only go forward.
That out of the way, this will be some examining of important passages found in The Joyful Wisdom
“The strongest and most evil spirits have until now advanced mankind the most: they always rekindled the sleeping passions-all orderly arranged society lulls the passions to sleep;. they always reawakened the sense of comparison, of contradiction, of delight in the new, the adventurous, the untried; they compelled men to set opinion against opinion, ideal plan against ideal plan. By means of arms, by upsetting boundary-stones, by violations of piety most of all: but also by new religions and morals!” -Friedrich Nietzsche
Yes, if you read this, Nietzsche has given his support for the Warrior Religion. Jokes aside, you must see that it isn’t the good, pious, and nice man that changes the world, but the strong and the “evil.” Is this sort of man actually evil? Well, to the normie maybe, but to the man who understands nature? No. The so-called evil men are usually the great men who are willing to do what it takes to impose their will on the world, to turn the wheel of mankind. A man must be willing to do “terrible” things in order to create the world he wants. I once listened to Dan Carlin podcast, I can’t remember what it was called but he asked what would it take for a man to be remembered in history in the way that we remember Alexander or Napoleon?
What was sort of the qualifier of becoming one of these great men? One thing he focused on was that the man would have to be able to order the deaths of women and children. If that’s a bridge you can’t pass, being remembered is beyond your reach. The latter part of this passage focuses on how an orderly society dulls the spirit and that the only way to push mankind further is when the times get hard again where men take up arms against each other, there is no piety, and new religions and morals are made. This time is coming if it’s not already here. We will have Holy War.
“In some ages this or that talent, this or that virtue seems to be entirely lacking, as it is in some men; but let us wait only for the grandchildren and grandchildren's children, if we have time to wait,-they bring the interior of their grandfathers into the sun, that interior of which the grandfathers themselves were unconscious. The son, indeed, is often the betrayer of his father; the latter understands himself better since he has got his son. We have all hidden gardens and plantations in us; and by another simile, we are all growing volcanoes, which will have their hours of eruption:-how near or how distant this is, nobody of course knows, not even the good God.” -Friedrich Nietzsche
I talked about Nietzsche’s childless life in the beginning for a reason. No, he did not have children, but he still has wisdom in these matters. This quote reminded me of the book Siddhartha by Herman Hesse. In this book, Siddhartha rebels against his father to become a monk. His father is unable to turn him from this path. Later on, Siddhartha experiences a similar fate with his own son and that realization helps him to find Nirvana. You can’t always control what your kids do, all you can do is make sure they are prepared for the world ahead of them and instill in them the desire to have sons of their own. This was a little off track from what Nietzsche was talking about, but you see it even today as there is talk of the zoomers being more radical than their millennial and Gen X counterparts.
“At that time a man went through a long schooling of corporeal tortures and privations, and found even in a certain kind of cruelty toward himself, in a voluntary use of pain, a necessary means for his preservation ; at that time a person trained his environment to the endurance of pain; at that time a person willingly inflicted pain, and saw the most frightful things of this kind happen to others, without having any other feeling than for his own security.” -Friedrich Nietzsche
This quote stuck out to me as I have a similar idea about a man’s instinctual purpose to life. Schopenhauer talked about the Will to Life, Nietzsche the Will to Power, the Nazis about living space, and BAP’s own idea of owned space come from what I believe is man’s innate desire to MASTER SPACE. You want to master the conditions you were born into, through conquest if necessary, and take command over it. That space however, is never enough. Either by lack of resources or the growth of people, the eyes always look to the perceived frontier. Mastering your space and conditions can be big or small based on your will and upbringing. It’s forging the will to undergo whatever hardship it takes to win.
“Only as Creators !-It has caused me the greatest trouble, and forever causes me the greatest trouble, to perceive that unspeakably more depends upon what things are called, than on what they are. The reputation, the name and appearance, the importance, the usual measure and weight of things - each being in origin most frequently an error and arbitrariness thrown over the things like a garment, and quite alien to their essence and even to their exterior-have gradually, by the belief therein and its continuous growth from generation to generation, grown as it were on-and-into things and become their very body; the appearance at the very beginning becomes almost always the essence in the end, and operates as the essence! What a fool he would be who would think it enough to refer here to this origin and this nebulous veil of illusion, in order to annihilate that which virtually passes for the world-namely, so-called ‘reality!’ It is only as creators that we can annihilate!-But let us not forget this: it suffices to create new names and valuations and probabilities, in order in the long run to create new ‘things.’” -Friedrich Nietzsche
On twatter, I often talk about rejecting the enemy’s language. When you use the enemy’s language, you give credibility and authority to the people you’re trying to defeat. Racism for example, is the enemy’s word. Using it only helps our cause in helping our friends break free from psychological conditioning, but it does nothing to gain ground against the enemy. You can’t just be against something, you must be for something you believe to be superior. Something that will make you draw the line in the sand. You must create and defend these values, going so far as to sacrifice your life for them. BAP is an example of someone who creates his own language and by doing so, is able to actually attack.
It’s a powerful testament if your language and values, that you create, can move people away from the generic programming of the empire. You must strive towards this. Strive towards what lights the fire in men’s souls.
“Will and Willingness.-Someone brought a youth to a wise man, and said, ‘See, this is one who is being corrupted by women!’ The wise man shook his head and smiled. ‘It is men,’ he called out, ‘who corrupt women; and everything that women lack should be atoned for and improved in men,-for man creates for himself the ideal of woman, and woman moulds herself according to this ideal.’-‘You are too tender-hearted towards women,’ said one of the bystanders, ‘you do not know them !’ The wise man answered : ‘Man's attribute is will, woman's attribute is willingness,- such is the law of the sexes, verily!’” -Friedrich Nietzsche
What do you think about this? There is a lot of hate towards the “empowered” woman of today by our side. I usually don’t talk about females because they don’t matter. There are no great women, only great men. Women don’t turn the wheel of mankind, men do. We will stop having these problems with our females when we start imposing our wills on the world. Almost all of our problems today come from the female compassion.
The man who proves himself superior will not have problems with females. They will make all the excuses in the world to be with such a man. Hell, they will break all their “rules” to be with him.
“But throughout the longest period in the life of mankind there was nothing more terrible to a person than to feel himself independent. To be alone, to feel independent, neither to obey nor to rule, to represent an individual-that was no pleasure to a person then, but a punishment; he was condemned ‘to be an individual.’ Freedom of thought was regarded as discomfort personified.” -Friedrich Nietzsche
Does this not just hit you in the gut as the prevailing sentiment of our time? Modern America, the west itself, is the breaking down of all bonds down to the individual. On RESAVAGER, I talk about the importance of thinking like a race again. The foreigners among us do it and they are thriving at our expense. Ancient man understood that he couldn’t survive on his own, that his best chances were to be part of a wolf pack, a people, a brotherhood of armed men. Being independent is worthless if you do not have power. Exile was a terrible punishment to ancient man, it meant he could be hunted. He was no longer under the protection of his people.
“It is further stated that the madman made his way into different churches on the same day, and there intoned his Requiem aeternam dec When led out and called to account, he always gave the reply: ‘What are these churches now, if they are not the tombs and monuments of God?’” -Friedrich Nietzsche
This quote comes from the dreaded of the “God is dead” passage, which many have heard. It’s sort of the last strike against the Christian. If your religion doesn’t inspire its people to save themselves, it’s a dead religion. Now I’ve said before that I don’t believe God is dead, that he in a way, has watched mankind stray from his Golden Path, and has left us to our fate: sink or swim. In a way, I don’t get the sense that Nietzsche himself didn’t believe God was dead, what he’s noticing is the death of the Christian religious feeling. Nietzsche’s own views are probably closer to Paganism. There is story told by Jung that he got from Nietzsche’s sister who says he had this dream where he was visited by Wotan(weirdly enough, he could hear screaming from nearby psychiatric ward). Wat means?
“A Dangerous Resolution.-The Christian resolution to find the world ugly and bad, has made the world ugly and bad.” -Friedrich Nietzsche
The darkest reality facing the right today is Christianity. It may be that Christianity may have to die in order to crush leftism. The Christian morality survives in the herd morality of our enemies.
“Religious Wars.-The greatest advance of the masses until now has been religious war, for it proves that the masses have begun to deal reverently with conceptions of things. Religious wars only result, when human reason generally has been refined by the subtle disputes of sects ; so that even the populace becomes punctilious and regards trifles as important, actually thinking it possible that the ‘eternal salvation of the soul’ may depend upon minute distinctions of concepts.” -Friedrich Nietzsche
YES. That’s RIGHT. So what? This is Nietzsche endorsing the HOLY WAR. You must make yourself FANATICAL in your beliefs. Draw the line in the sand.
“The Natural.-‘Evil has always had the great effect! And Nature is evil! Let us therefore be natural!’-so reason secretly the great aspirants after effect, who are too often counted among great men.” -Friedrich Nietzsche
Might is Right is older than the book written by Ragnar Redbeard. The Greks understood it to be true. There is mention of it in the Iliad as well as Xenophon’s March of the Ten Thousand. We have forgotten what was once common knowledge to all. You must do your part to get our people back into this path. Nietzsche is telling you to return to God’s Golden Path.
“Better to be in Debt.-‘Better to remain in debt than to pay with money which does not bear our stamp!’-that is what our sovereignty prefers.” -Friedrich Nietzsche
Wow! Why would Nietzsche say this? General consensus is you don’t want to be in debt. But there is something to be said about this mentality. There was a quote, that I can’t remember exactly or from who(feel free to put it in the comments if you know), where a small debt is your problem, but if you amplify that debt — either by amount or number of debaters — it eventually becomes the bank’s problem. Could this be how you bring down the gay empire?
“Ability to Contradict.-Everyone knows at present that the ability, to endure contradiction is a good indication of culture. Some people even know that the higher man courts opposition, and provokes it, so as to get a cue to his until now unknown partiality. But the ability to contradict, the attainment of a good conscience in hostility to the accustomed, the traditional and the hallowed,-that is more than both the above-named abilities, and is the really great, new and astonishing thing in our culture, the step of all steps of the emancipated intellect: who knows that ?” -Friedrich Nietzsche
A sort of power is the idea called the HOLY CONTRADICTION. ZeroHPLovecraft speaks on this in his series about a possible Christo-Nietzscheanism. I also talk about it in my examination of the obscure poet, Robinson Jeffers, who believed that western man’s greatness comes from the contradiction of his Christian conversion with his Pagan instincts and virtues. This may be a sign of a good culture and you must be on the look out for it OR trying to manifest it into the world.
“Belief is always most desired, most pressingly needed, where there is a lack of will: for the will, as emotion of command, is the distinguishing characteristic of sovereignty and power. That is to say, the less a person knows how to command, the more urgent is his desire for that which commands, and commands sternly,-a God, a prince, a caste, a physician, a confessor, a dogma, a party conscience.” -Friedrich Nietzsche
The will is everything. Ernst Junger said it in a different, but similar way, using instead the words ACTION and CONVICTION. Our side faces this lack of will as it’s most pressing obstacle. We don’t have someone who can COMMAND us into action. If you want sovereignty and power, you must first get the WILL to command yourself and furthermore, use that will to command others.
“One sees what has really gained the victory over the Christian God-, Christian morality itself, the conception of veracity, taken ever more strictly, the confessional subtlety of the Christian conscience, translated and sublimated to the scientific conscience, to intellectual purity at any price.” -Friedrich Nietzsche
Do we not all see this happening in real time? You can say that leftism itself is full of Christian moralism, but to bring it back to the Christians themselves, you find that they’re incapable of making a stand without first shooting themselves in the foot. They’re constrained by their own morality which they believe is right. But if it were right, would they be in the problem they are in today?
“Woman wants to be taken and accepted as a possession, she wishes to be merged in the conceptions of ‘possession’ and ‘possessed’; consequently she wants one who takes, who does not offer and give himself away, but who reversely is rather to be made richer in ‘himself’-by the increase of power, happiness and faith which the woman herself gives to him.” -Friedrich Nietzsche
More game advice from Nietzsche. He’s proponent of cave man dating and rayp. Can the right stop winning? It’s my experience that this is true. No matter how empowered a woman thinks she is, she wants to be dominated and objectified. It will endear her to you. Another concept hidden in here, you must consider: the man considers woman a possession. If you lose the possession, it’s not that big a deal. Maybe it’s family heirloom or something and it stings a little more, but life goes on. You must have this mindset with females.
What do you think of these selected quotes from The Joyful Wisdom? I tried to pick out passages that maybe you haven’t heard from Nietzsche before. There is good one I left out about the return of the warlike man, but I think most have read it before. The words of Nietzsche seem to transcend, they may one day be considered holy texts, and you should treat them as such.
Nice post. Yes, only a transvaluation of values could possibly get us out of this mess, along with abolishment of the Rothschild and allied owned central banks of the world. From the way the world looks, though, the secular Christian egalitarian flattening beliefs have metastasized and it's going to get way, way worse before there's a chance of things getting better. Hope I'm wrong.
Very strong piece. Thankyou
