Religious Considerations for a Modern Day Paganism

I’ve been unkind to Christians often on RESAVAGER. I absolutely respect that my ancestors were Christian, but they were Pagan as well. I will support any Christian sect that shows it will fight and win against the enemy. I recently wrote article for Arktos entitled, “A New Religious Feeling,” where I hint at the problem with Paganism in the modern day. Pagans have felt the world-feeling of their ancestors, with the help of philosophers like Nietzsche or authors like Robert E Howard or Ragnar Redbeard. They understand what natural law requires, but the RELIGIOUS FEELING of their Pagan ancestors has been snuffed out of history. Forgotten to time.

There are two types of Pagans you encounter online. The first is the one who has read Nietzsche and understands the spirit of Paganism. The other is of the longhouse type that demands some return to one of the old Pantheons and if you’re not following the little of what we know about them, you’re just a pretender who’s never read a book or lifted a weight. The latter will never amount to anything because they are LEFTIST in spirit, demanding their religion be studied and deconstructed, practiced in the same way as our ancestors without knowing what that way was. BAP has said that there will be no return to old Pantheons and I agree with this take. You cannot return. You can only go forward. If you can’t capture the hearts and minds of the people you need on your side in order to win, you’ll amount to nothing.

The longhouse Pagans are as bad as the Christians who tell you the only way to get out of this mess is to pray to Jesus. “What you want to save western civilization, come pray at my church!” They have no solutions, no ideas, they’re just mad that you aren’t a Pagan purist(whatever denomination they are). No matter how hard they scream and whine online, they will never recover that lost religious feeling. They will never believe in The Gods in the way their ancestors believed in The Gods. It’s not wrong of them to HONOR their ways, I do. The Ancient Greks and Romans represent the point of origin for western peoples. Every country since Rome has wanted to become Rome.

But if you want to talk about religion and religious feeling, you had better step up your game. Religion is best described by Oswald Spengler as another word for existence. It encompasses more than just a Pantheon, it’s a blueprint for living life. How you live today is part of your religion. All the old religions, the last being Christianity, have been conquered by the new form of religion in leftism. The world is moving in the direction of the people that hate us, imagine what happens when this religion merges itself with something like Christianity. You can argue theology is leftism’s only missing component.

You have to step up your game if you want to compete with this. To show your religion superior. It has to dominate the enemy in the field. The way to do this is getting your disciples reacquainted with NATURAL LAW. The law of tooth and claw. That those who follow the doctrines of nature find themselves favored by God himself. No matter how comfortable and decadent this society has become, we’re still a part of nature. The moment hubris gets to you and you forget this truth is the moment nature sews the seeds of your destruction.

With that in mind, I want to talk about what I see as NECESSARY qualities of a new Paganism to rise in our modern day.

One normie interpretation of Christianity or monotheism vs Paganism is the worship of one God vs many. It’s worth noting that the Romans considered monotheism to be atheism. How could you expect one God to rule over everything? C’mon man. That said, almost all of mankind now believes there is either one God or none. The Romans however, saw the value of taking in foreign Gods to cement alliances and loyalty in their empire. The problem is that tolerance ultimately led to Christianity and their downfall.

The best way to approach this subject is to be honest. We don’t know. It would be wise to assume, as the Romans did, that there are many Gods and demons in the world. It would fit with our spiritual origins. In the early days of the Greks and Romans, each family had its own religion and its own Gods. Not only that, but ancestor worship, which is rarely talked about today was of vital importance to our ancestors. Through comparative mythology, we know almost all Aryan peoples had a Sky Father God who acted as King of the Pantheons and creator of mankind.

As our people have strayed far from the Golden Path, it’s important to acknowledge God and understand that while we don’t know the nature of God, we know what he selects for as evidenced by human history. The peoples — Christian or Pagan — that adhered to the doctrines of nature found themselves loved by God. One consideration I’ve had is if God selects for the races that best master the doctrines of nature and this mastery requires a people to be WARLIKE, that the Sky Father and War God may indeed be a singular role. If the most brutal and savage races seem to rise to the top, than our God must be a War God. Of course, being warlike is just part of the equation with other qualities such as wisdom, cunning, and excellence. I like image of SCYTHIAN ARES demanding the right arms of our enemies as sacrifice and proof of devotion to God. This has already been incorporated into doctrines of WARRIOR RELIGION.

We don’t know the nature of God or what he wants. We know he favors the peoples who prove themselves superior in nature. It’s best to listen to Heraclitus in this matter: we are children in comparison to Gods and can’t hope to understand his ways. Maybe he’s a child playing a board game or the ultimate real time strategy game. He may be the creator of man, but that doesn’t make him loyal to man as seen by the fall of civilizations and empires. If you stray too far from His Golden Path or anger him, you can expect all the fire and brimstone of the Old Testament. Whatever the nature of God, you must have him on your side. You must be loved by God.

The next important factor in the resurgence of Paganism is the proper worship of FIRE. Heraclitus believed the world was made by fire. Fire is sacred and primordial to mankind. The discovery of fire gave mankind an unfair advantage over all of nature. We’ve yet to be removed from the top of the food chain since we harnessed it. In the old domestic religions of our ancestors, the hearth fire was a God and it must never be allowed to go out. It was of so much importance to our ancestors that Agamemnon himself, upon returning from the Trojan War, went to his hearth fire FIRST before even sacrificing to Zeus.

Fire is vital to man in every way. It kept him warm and offered comfort in the primitive days of man trying to survive in nature. It became man’s ultimate weapon from its earliest forms to the nuclear warhead. Fire is used in the firearms we use to fight with and protect ourselves today. It’s owed a particular reverence that we cannot forget. Where Heraclitus believed the world to be ever-living fire, our scientists see the universe as starting with a big bang.

The First Man and Hero

There’s a reason we remember a man like Heracles so many thousand years after he’s lived. He lived a life that earned him undying fame. It’s said that when he died, he was made immortal. What did Heracles do? He fought monsters and made the world safe for mankind. His deeds are so well known that he’s present in other cultures. There is belief that Heracles was a protector of The Buddha, for example.

So to, Achilles who showed ARISTEIA. An excellence so unmatched, he’s still remembered compared to the multitude of men who have lived since, that we never knew existed. Move forward to our great conquerors: Alexander the Great, Caesar, Genghis Khan, Napoleon. This goal of doing something so powerful that mankind has no choice but to remember them is awe inspiring, but also has within it the potential for great despair. How can you match what these men did? Caesar had such a moment when he turned thirty three and remembered how much Alexander had conquered before that age. The aim of the classical man was to achieve this kind of undying fame. What would a man have to do to in our time to be remembered as we remember Heracles?

It’s vital to hold onto this spirit. The spirit of the hero. God has shown that the strong survive and thrive in nature. As long as man strives for superiority, in every way he can, he gives future generations a chance. A great fear expressed by Frank Herbert in his Dune novels is the stagnation of mankind. If mankind did not continue to push into new frontiers, test their limits, and grow stronger, nature would sew the seeds of its destruction. Man must continue to adapt to new stress, master new space, and push his limits. Put these things together and you have potential for powerful religion.

What’s important to ANY religion is the ability to light the fire in men’s souls.
