It's been some time since I've poasted. I apologize for this, but the spark to write has been at all time low. The discourse you see online has deteriorated beyond recognition. It's not really something anyone should want to be a part of. But here we are, haunted It's been some time since I've poasted. I apologize for this, but the spark to write has been at all time low. The discourse you see online has deteriorated beyond recognition. It's not really something anyone should want to be a part of. But here we are, haunted by the same age old question that brought us here in the first place. RESAVAGER is my attempt to figure shit out. My humble public school education was lacking and through this substank I was able to report back on whatever I learned in my quest to understand nature.
But that understanding comes at cost. It's a double edged sword that cannot be taken lightly. A saying I've thrown out a lot is, "Nature doesn't care so long as you win." Winning is the only that matters, but then you must find that narrow path to victory amongst the chaos of our modern world. If you do find that path, you must be a man of courage and action to see it through. The conviction to win must supercede every other thought. Any ounce of doubt leads to despair.
"Mr. Disciple, what are you talking about?" Yes, this is all vague and broad. Let me try to be more clear. The world we live in has gone so far off the rails of how the ancients designed it that to learn about their mores would horrify the unwashed masses. You already know that they would say. We moved beyond them. They were bigoted and backwards. They didn't practice science. They weren't college educated. Trying to help such people understand why the ancients ruled as they did seems like such an insurmountable task that someone with the knowledge would have no other choice than to despair.
What does the average joe want? He wants the America his school teachers taught him about. "I am a Real American, Fight for the rights of every man." America is supposed to be the place where any man can pick himself up by his bootstraps and make something of himself. He can get a good job, become a wife guy, and live in a respectable house in a respectable neighborhood. He just wants to grill and watch sportsball. Be able to provide for many children and give them the lives he couldn't have himself. He is a citizen of the greatest country in the world. The country that saved the world in World War II against the great Satan.
No where does this man think racism is good or that women shouldn't be equal to him. He believes in the lawl. Every one else in America is just like him. Ned Flanders is how I have seen him characterized before. And in some ways, this is the real problem, the real opposition to the ideas on our side. Now these Neds really do believe in these things and I bet most Real Americans have similar desires, and they do what they can to get as close to those goals as possible. What's before them though is a hellscape beyond imagination. They rooted for diversity only to find that diversity hates them. They're being cut out of the picture entirely. Houses are becoming too expensive. Wives don't want to have kids. The nice neighborhoods are becoming unreachable. Career aspirations being humbled.
We have all seen the trends. American men are struggling to find jobs. Many of their opportunities are being handed out not to better candidates but to foreigners and women. The low bar they are told to accept and be a happy about is leading them to just check out of the game entirely. Why even participate when the game is rigged? Most Neds don't want any part of the political process. Again, for the hundredth time, they just want to grill.
Step back and observe. This is a leadership principle of Jocko. Step back and observe what is happening so you can redirect your firepower as necessary to win. When a man does this, however, there is only despair looking back. Nature demands that you win. It doesn't care how you get there, so long as you win. Then what does it take to win?
The tldr is just courage and excellence.
The reality is almost every man who sees nature chooses cowardice. What else can they do? There is no easy way out. You aren't going to change generations of civilizational change overnight or even in a lifetime. The Decline of Oswald Spengler stares at you through window at night. Many of the poasts on RESAVAGER go into the details of how the ancients arranged society and if you read them, you will see just how alien the ideas would be perceived now, even if you understand and agree with them. Books like Numa Denis Fustel de Coulanges' The Ancient City or Henry Sumner Maine's Ancient Law do a great job of explaining how the ancients did it. We act like it some unknown nowadays, but the old ways were written. They are known.
But what's missing is a void stretching across space itself. You can't read The Ancient City and reintroduce the concepts of lost pagan worship and expect to win. Many go around thinking of they can back to worshipping Wotan, all the wrongness in the world will correct itself. Just have more children than your enemies is another one. Just go to the gym and work on yourself, yet another. Bodybuild to defeat leftism, lol. Imagine an Ancient Greek seeing a modern bodybuilder. He would want to know how well the bodybuilder could fight. Was he a good wrestler? Was he fast? Could he trust him not to flee in the phalanx?
The ways being offered are just ways of coping with a world you cannot control or change. Sure, they might offer some means of improving your life or obtaining a type of enlightenment, but they don't even qualify as using bandaids to dress a gunshot wound. No, what's before you is a dragon and all you got to fight with is a fork. A man who glimpses nature and what it takes to win is more often horrified into despair. He cannot go back in time and make the right decisions so that he at least stands a chance of being able to choose courage. All he has is a record of failures and bad decisions chaining him to the ground before the titanic dragon. How can you not expect him to hide behind rock, praying he isn't seen by the dragon? No way he can win, but he can survive to live another day if he stays quiet enough.
What it takes to win in this world is many things. To do it "right" means dedicated excellence from as young an age as possible. What you hear online is you just to participate. Vote. Wiser voices will tell you to get into government in whatever capacity you can. Others look at you like a mother and suggest you go into the trades because it pays well and they see your main objective as living comfortably. Yeah, a trade should get you close to the dream of the average joe. But the latter falls into the same trap of checking out. Sure, might improve where you are now, but you remain at the mercy of those who put you in this situation in the first place.
To get out of the hellscape, you have to be in charge. You have to be the one making decisions for you and yours. You have to be aware of and take action against the threats to your power. But how does modern man do this? Hell, the wife guy can be conquered by divorce alone. His estate is not his own. The way our ancestors handled it doesn't exactly give you much to hope for. In the early days of America, when the opposing power became too entrenched and opportunity withered away, our ancestors simply went west. But there is no more west to retreat to. All you have is the United States and if you let that go, you will have nothing.
To reiterate, you want to be charge. If you can't be in charge, it has better be a friend who is better and has your best interest in mind. But the truth is, we are far from anything close to this. Most US citizens are no better than the slaves they have idolized. There was never any power to begin with. You are chained in more ways then you can imagine and the more chains you discover, the worse the despair. Welcome, darkness, my old friend.
The problems are manyfold. There are layers upon layers to them. Books can be written laying them out, but I don't think there would be enough books. You don't have power. You don't have friends in power. Odds are, you don't have many friends to begin with and even if you did, there isn't a consensus amongst you. You don't have shared goals. Foreigners have shown a way we have forgotten: nepotism. This used to be a right, the freedom of association, but that right has been made forfeit. There is no consensus amongst your own, but even worse than that, there is no trust amongst your own. The traitor in your midst is the plague as Cicero said.
The only path that seems available is the path of wealth. With any luck, you can make enough money to escape the consequences of the United States long enough to live and die in peace. How far the apple has fallen from the tree. How far we have all fallen. I wish I could come to you like Moses bringing the ten commandments from mountain, but I cannot. I don't have the answers. I don't see the path. Like most others, I can talk about what happened, hell, maybe I can give good suggestions for pulling Americans out of hell.
Courage and excellence are the start. No, going back to praying to Thor doesn't matter. Religion doesn't matter UNLESS it motivated your people to save themselves and on this matter, there is no religion today that isn't a dead religion. Religion has the potential to turn the tide if it can light the fire in men's souls again, but there is no signs of the return of the gods. Working on yourself is a small start, it might move the needle, but it is a start and not an end. Is it possible to achieve a kind of excellence after living a life of mediocrity? That's not for me to answer. I can only say that your ancestors went to great lengths to breed excellence into their children and we have abandoned that path long ago.
Excellence is a worthy goal to work towards but the mileage will vary. Excellence will feed courage. We don't have the courage necessary to do what must be done. Recently, I seen debate on what caused the fall of the Roman Empire on twatter between Elon Musk and a Roman Helmet Guy. Musk made the argument that Rome failed due to birthrates and unchecked immigration, but the argument of Roman Helmet Guy was more compelling. Roman Helmet Guy explained that it wasn't these things that caused Rome to fall. Rome fell because Romans were no longer willing to die for her. This answer speaks to my soul as true, but it's not enough.
It ain't enough to be willing to die for America. You see these types all the time. Americans are more than willing to die for America. The ones that didn't die returned home after the war on terror to see their country had become something else. It ain't enough to be willing to die for America. Some scumbag will spend your life for pennies on the dollar. No, you have to be willing to kill for America. You must understand this. Worth must be proven. Glory must be taken. This is the only way. Until enough men are willing to kill for America and Americans, the blackpills will continue. Until some religious ecstacy lights the fires in men again, there are only blackpills.
Much of what you read or see online isn't worth your time. No one knows if anything will do what I suggest. It most definitely will not be in any form we recognize today. But think on the words of Roman Helmet Guy. There are many Americans today that have a glorious view of America that is being tainted day by day with the garbage we see happening in culture. They want America to be as they imagined her. They need only that fire again.
