There will always be persecution, though the form it takes varies by the nature of the empire in which you live. The Romans enjoyed crucifying their persecuted along the road. The Soviet Union liquified their persecuted in as silent a way as possible and made it something you don’t talk about. The US Empire elected to go a different way after the horrors of World War II. You can draw parallels between the communism of the Soviet Union and leftism of the United States, but they differed in a very distinct way. The US empire took a soft power approach in attempt to maintain that all-important feeling of “moral superiority.” Instead of making dissidents disappear, they were simply ignored.
What makes it to the mainstream is interpreted as vital information by the public, so if you cut a dissident from the national conversation, he finds himself shouting into the void. He becomes memory-holed. Forgotten completely. This was the fate of the author I will talk about today: Revilo P. Oliver. Oliver was recommended to me by my fren The Last Pirate on twatter after reading about tweets I had made about Warrior Religion and my ideas about an American race. Oliver was an academic in the extreme sense. He could speak eleven languages, worked in intelligence during the Second World War, and was a co-founder of the John Birch Society which he later resigned from.
His time with military intelligence appeared to be very formative to Oliver who, after he had finished serving, left Washington DC believing Franklin D Roosevelt was a dirty commie who betrayed his people. Oliver calls him many things in this book, “the unspeakable monster in the White House,” being one of them. He detailed what many on our side already knew. Roosevelt was helping the Soviets out. He knew about the Pearl Harbor attack but did nothing to stop it. Oliver’s wrath towards FDR is endearing part of his book, America’s Decline. One maybe less talked about crime by FDR was his use of the Navy to bait the Germans into attacking so he could get the US into the war. On top of this, he gives an accurate depiction of the war that we on the right understand today, especially the American brutality towards Europe(Dresden, the rape of Berlin, the handing over of prisoners to the Soviets knowing they would be executed).
I learned much from his analysis of what happened to the United States in the 20th century. How giving women the right to vote allowed a gangster form of populism to take hold, turning the republic into a “democracy.” He also rails against the Income Tax which he called the White slave act. The first part of this book hones in on his experience and also shows WHY he was memory-holed. He was very much certain that it was the jews who were responsible for everything, giving a fond story of a good jew he met who was commenting on his evil race and he did his part by not having children. Oliver began naming the jew(which we are assured would end their reign) and so he ended up resigning from the John Birch Society which wanted him to not be so specific about who was the blame.
Now he didn’t claim that the John Birch Society was overran with the jews, but he believed that it was the fault of Christianity that his fellow founders wouldn’t go to the logical next step. Christians didn’t want to raise their hands against the jews, for whatever reason. I’ve held, perhaps, controversial view of the jews. Yes, Oliver is correct in his analysis that it is NOT a religion, but a race. A competing race. They are a worthy foe you have to beat, but you don’t beat them by naming them. Rather, you have not sweat them and win on your own terms. What we are speaking of here is the fickleness of the masses. The masses will get behind winners. Everyone likes a winner.
NAME THEM, ???, Profit
His information is valuable but dangerous to those not acquainted with the doctrines of nature. I got much more joy from the second half of the book where he reviews various right-wing authors from Spengler to Yockey, to Simpson(another memory-holed author though the name of his work survives via the MEME: Which Way Western Man?) in the appendix. I’d like to take a little bit of time to talk about his ideas about Caesar vs Cicero in the book. He’s very much a Cicero enjoyer and like Cicero, he believes the American republic could be saved. His analysis of Cicero makes me want to actually read him(I have, though not seriously). There is the possibility that his view on the matter changed(as suggested by my fren), but I’m not opposed to his preference of Cicero.
Oliver gives Caesar his due as a great man, but he sees his triumph as the beginning of the end for Rome and fears that a similar event happening to America would share the same fate. For Oliver, Cicero represented an insightful view of what it took to hold the Roman Republic together. We often talk about wanting a Caesar(I’ve pushed back against this by saying we actually need a Fabius), but how can you ensure the Caesar represents your people? This, I believe, is what Oliver feared: the leftist Caesar. A republic — if you can keep it lol — may be one of the most powerful forms of government ever invented. It allowed the Romans to be a formidable force for generations as Patricians competed with each other for honor and glory while their poor neighbors could only hope their next king was a man of power and not a degenerate. To create a culture that strives for excellence is necessary if you want to survive in nature.
Speaking of nature, Oliver leaves us with some POWERFUL wisdom about the doctrines of nature. It’s not enough to survive, he tells you. Survival isn’t enough. You need aggression. You need the “will to subjugate and dominate other races.” That if your race is unwilling to do that, they are UNFIT to survive. YES, I believe this! To survive and thrive in this world, you have to impose your will upon the world.
Oliver’s focus in this book is primarily telling the truth about World War II, the jews, liberalism, and Christianity, but he also spends time reviewing authors like Spengler and Yockey. Now, this is a smart man who’s able to pick apart someone like Spengler in a way few if any could today. Oftentimes, we see people become devotees of philosophers like Nietzsche or Spengler and it’s important to remember that they were men and all men have blind spots as well as weaknesses. You must remember that they were men. You must be able to handle critiques against them and accept that they didn’t have all the answers. Much of my time on the right is a series of finding men who seek like they have the answers being revealed to be frauds. I’ve yet to not be disappointed.
Seeing critiques such as this against authors you admire helps you form a superior worldview if you can look at it the right way. And what we need is a better worldview. One that is closer to nature, that will help our people become emergent again. With that said, I do recommend America’s Decline and leave you now with powerful quote from Oliver:
“If our race has been so debilitated by menticidal illusions that it no longer has the will to subjugate and dominate other races, then, by the irrevocable law of all life, it has become unfit to survive. If that is so, the superiority that we won by our courage and technological power and have now lost by our fatuity is lost forever, and despite what you and I may wish or hope, we are, in the grim balance of nature, what the Jews believe us to be, an irredeemably inferior species', fit only for brutish servitude or, at best, extinction.” -Revilo P. Oliver
Excellent, BD, I used to read Oliver religiously. Every month he had an article in a great publication called, "Liberty Bell", created by George Dietz, an unrepentant National Socialist in Reedy, West Virginia. (1970s & 80s). Oliver's name is an anadrome, incidentally. (Oliver is Revilo spelled backwards). I think he wrote two books, I have them from many years ago. Oliver, a prominent speaker at many John Birch Society meetings, started alienating the con-artist-servative pussies of the JBS by delving into race saying things like, "Battista did the best he could ruling Cuba, a nation of mongrels" & "The sight of Jews made into smoldering ash would be beatific". In total disgust he left the Birch Society with scathing comments about its founder, the candy company magnate, Robert Welch, who steadfastly and hypocritically refused to acknowledge the diabolical, Judaic origins of Bolshevism. The monsters who surreptitiously run the territory known as the U.S. are not so subtle. Aside from consigning dissidents to the Orwellian memory hole, they do not hesitate to have them taken out with extreme prejudice. In other words, "capped".
There have already been at least two Leftist Caesars in American history, Lincoln and FDR. The first even shares his manner of death with Caesar, though be was certainly far more cowardly and perfidious than Caesar.
