The Thread of Continuity

The way the enemy wins is by separating our people from their ancestral history. Knowing this ancestral history is vital for a people in the fight for survival. It’s a concept from Frank Herbert which he presents in his novel, Dune. He calls it the Thread of Continuity. A people is better able to confront threats of the present if he has the lessons learned from his ancestors in the past. We will always be connected to the ancestors by blood, but if you aren’t taught this connection, it’s quite easy to become lost in the immense complexity of the world.

Severing the thread is a classic tactic of leftism. It was used to great effect in Soviet Russia and again in the United States just after World War II. Now in the modern day, you’re hard pressed to know your family history unless you take interest in it. Your own family probably knows very little. We have no knowledge of our tribal history on top of this. Most of us are probably far removed from the tribe which puts us in the position of needing further ethnogenesis.

In previous times, you knew what you were and who your tribe was. You had a tribe, a people. Many of the European tribes merged through Manifest Destiny. We became American, but the roots were still known. And in a way, this was supposed to happen. A prerogative to renew the race.

The experience on the frontier transformed the European blood. It made us set apart from our European cousins. We became differentiated, changed. The taming of the frontier was the renewal of our races, but it also changed the tribe. Americans contain strains from the many tribes that settled the New World. The power of this new race was realized in and after the Second World War. Our decline following the civil rights era is a moment of truth. Can we recover from the severing? Russia has in a way, pulled itself up, but a fully recovery? Too early to tell, they’re still in a way governed by leftism.

It’s important to remember the Way of the Fathers. What made them strong and superior. You must also remember what they got wrong and make the necessary adjustments. You can still rightfully honor them while accepting they were human. You can never accept the leftist frame of being shamed by them. They were great men who helped make our country a superpower. They tamed the New World. They were the last race to be forced back into nature and conquer.
