The Case Against Democratic War in the Warrior Religion
Please read the previous part of the series: The Primordial Development of Mankind and the Warrior Religion
War is the raison d’etre of man. The development of stone technology preceded fire and even language. Why? The first men were trying to survive. They were building weapons to fight sabertooth tigers, mammoths, and Neanderthals as well as to protect their own from other men. Life in nature is war, war for survival of oneself and his kin. If you examine the primordial development of mankind, what’s important to us reveals itself.
Stone Technology > Wood > Fire > Language
From this primordial development you see that stone technology was developed most likely for war. Before stone technology was likely the development of the war band. Once the first men got a foothold, they started to settle leading to wood and fire. The consumption of cooked meat and the campfire likely helped the development of language. If there was some kind of religion, it didn’t come until after the development of language. There is much myth surrounding man’s FIRE such as the myth of Prometheus because it changed the world in a way we probably can’t even comprehend today. I forget where I saw it on twatter, but someone had the observation that in war, the side with the most energy wins.
Energy being fire. Think how missiles are bursts of fire and energy in modern warfare today. The United States emerged out of the Second World War as THE superpower because of nuclear weapons. You must do as the first men did: focus on weapons and strategy. A man is built for war, though the nature of war is night and day different compared to the wars of the first men. The wars since Napoleon have been completely distinct from the wars of the ancients. The wars before Napoleon were done by primarily by warrior classes against other warrior classes.
The ancient world was brutal, but the warrior then, had more control over his fate. Ancient Athens for example, during its time as a DEMOCRACY was 80% slaves and as you know, the slaves weren’t allowed in the gymnasium. This meant that less than 20% of Athenians were called upon to defend their city in war. Think too on the medieval period where it was knights who fought wars, not peasants. Victory was less up to chance and more on the skill of the warriors involved. The emergence of democratic warfare marked the end of the old kind of warfare and opened up a Pandora’s Box filled with man made horrors beyond our comprehension. Machine guns, poison gas, fire bombings, and nuclear weapons have pushed fate and fortune far above the man’s skill in war, putting his life in the hands of The Gods.
“This is war in the age of democracy. Do you like it?!” -BAP, Caribbean Rhythms #16
The Warrior Religion must look past the age of democratic warfare and become the pioneers of the next form of warfare.
The two world wars in the 1900s were disastrous for the west. I often lament that the generation that marched into The Great War was the last generation of real men. No people will survive if we continue down the path of democratic war. The Warrior Religion is being forged to take a people toward salvation, not to lead it into destruction. The goal is to find a different way of waging war and that means adopting principles from both the ancient and the modern ways of war. You want to move the bar back toward the noble warrior way of war, but must do so in a manner that doesn’t result in that warrior being stabbed in the back by the treacherous nature of democratic war.
If you read Nietzsche, specifically his first essay in The Genealogy of Morals and the book, The Antichrist, you find that he rails against Judea as the origin of the modern world. The battle between the Jews and the Romans continue to this day, Nietzsche says. It’s through Judea we get to the modern world democracy and hence, democratic warfare. It’s how we get the worms slithering to the top of the food chain while the true beasts of prey get sent to the meat grinder for slaughter. It’s through noble barbarians that the great civilizations we admire are forged. These are men of great honor and power.
The problem is the bad, the evil, the priestly class, the men with the attitude of ressentiment described by Nietzsche, formed a strategy that undermined the noble man and allowed them to conquer the world. This is why we don’t have kings and warlords anymore. The true kings and warlords live in the shadows away from public attention. Society is arranged for their benefit while also arranged to marginalize — to steal a leftist word — the warrior. Something I see in almost every neo-masculinity group is this desire for honor. They want to show their face and tell everyone their real name because they aren’t cowards. They want more than anything, the chance to face the enemy on the field, man to man.
The enemy would never offer such an opening. Rather, they’ll ship off the manly warrior to some third world country where he gets maimed my a roadside bomb and rendered impotent. Those that realize who the real enemies are and stay stateside will wait for the rest of their lives for a war that won’t come. Meanwhile, life for them gets a little harder, year by year, as his enemy employs a death by a thousand cuts stratagem. This stratagem has worked wonders for globohomo and the right, which is where most of the men of this noble type reside, don’t know how to respond. This is partly because they refuse to adopt at least some of the principles the current elite have, thus making them easy pickings for snipers.
Honor doesn’t matter if you lose.
Neo-masculinity gurus lament the loss of honor in the modern world. They all talk about honor and having honor, but fail to mention how honor doesn’t matter if you lose. In ancient times, honor was heaped upon the winners. The warlords who turned the tied of battle for their side. Victory determines the honor bestowed. Our people will not feel honor again until they start winning. If putting out your name and face makes you easily dealt with, don’t put out your name and face.
Harkening back to Frank Herbert’s Dune, which is part inspiration for the Warrior Religion Project, examine the Fremen. It’s fun to talk about the Sardaukar, but our situation more resembles the Fremen. Herbert had a right wing mind and I wouldn’t be surprised if Dune becomes prophetic in the future. The Fremen are a persecuted and subjected people. Their planet is exploited for the benefit of the empire. Living on a desert planet, full of titanic worms burrowing in the sands, they couldn’t use the personal shields the rest of the empire used because it would attract the worms. They also became masters of remaining unseen, to avoid the attention of their other world masters. This allowed them to hide their true strength, which was later brought out to the forefront by story’s protagonist resulting in a horrific Holy War where the Fremen emerged as the new power in the universe.
In the world of Dune, guns become useless due to the invention of personal shields. Nuclear weapons are largely outlawed. AI technology wiped out in the Butlerian Jihad. The Fremen for example, used daggers called kris knives as the primary weapon of the warrior. They were known for their ability to be unseen and to use that ability to launch terrible ambushes upon their enemies. They dominated the best soldiers of the empire, the Sardaukar. The way of war in Dune is much more manly than it is today, closer to that of the ancients, but the political skill and treachery of modern politicians is still just as important.
The Warrior Religion must force a synthesis of the ancient and modern way of war. We don’t want to engage in democratic warfare for many reasons. We won’t have the technology our enemies have, we won’t have the numbers. The lives of disciples are too valuable to waste in democratic war. Your enemies won’t be on the frontlines anyways, they will be in the shadows and so you too, must learn how to operate in the shadows.
